Award-Winning Advertising Agency Continues Expansion into Broadcast Industry
LOS ANGELES — Stun Creative, the award-winning advertising agency that specializes in on-air promotion for cable networks and syndication studios, announced today that it has been chosen to produce the fourth season of “Radical Sabbatical,” a reality series on the FINE LIVING Network.
Each episode of “Radical Sabbatical” follows an individual over a four-month period as he or she quits their job in pursuit of a lifelong dream. Stun Creative, headed by co-presidents Brad Roth and Mark Feldstein, has been brought on to completely re-vamp the show’s format. Instead of simply a “look back” as was done in the past, the new season will follow individuals as they actually leave their current jobs and embark on a new life path. For example, cameras may follow an accountant who is quitting his job of ten years to become a hang gliding instructor. Sometimes these ventures will be a success, other times the subjects will absolutely regret their decisions – either way, the outcome is completely unknown. In addition to the subject’s testimonials, the show includes interviews from the subject’s friends and family as well as excerpts from the subject’s personal “video diary.”
“At some point, everyone has thought of ditching their job and trying something completely new,” said Feldstein. “Our cameras are tagging along with those who are actually brave enough to do it.”
“We’re extremely excited to have Stun on board for ‘Radical Sabbatical’,” says Stephanie Eno, director of programming and production at FINE LIVING. “They’re bringing a whole new perspective to the show, and shaking things up with their creative ideas.”
The FINE LIVING project represents a further expansion into the broadcast and content development industry for Stun Creative. In recent years, Stun has developed short films and television series, including executive producing “Inside Taken,” an hour long behind-the-scenes special for Steven Spielberg’s award-winning miniseries, “Taken.” Currently, Stun has several other shows in development including a new series at VH1, in addition to “Radical Sabbatical.”
“Although the bread and butter of our business is broadcast promotion, we’ve made a natural evolution into content development,” said Roth. “This new version of ‘Radical Sabbatical’ will be an example of how unpredictable and gripping reality TV can be.”
